1. The technologies involved
Cookies are small values that a browser stores and may send with later requests to a matching website. Local storage keeps values within a browser profile and does not automatically send those values with every request. Browser caches retain copies of resources such as scripts, images and stylesheets. These technologies serve different purposes and should not all be described as tracking cookies.
This policy covers the ToolWorld Online application and explains where delivery or security services may also be involved. Read it with our Privacy Policy for information about request logs and other processing.
2. Application storage inventory
| Item | Purpose | Contents | Duration / control |
|---|---|---|---|
| tw-favorites (local storage) | Remembers your chosen favorite tools. | Tool identifiers, such as json-formatter; not the input you paste into a tool. | Until you change favorites, clear site data, or the browser removes it. |
| tw-theme (local storage) | Remembers the light or dark theme you select. | A theme preference value. | Until you change the theme, clear site data, or the browser removes it. |
| Website resource cache | Loads and reuses site resources efficiently. | Copies of website code, styles, fonts or images and normal cache metadata. | According to response instructions, browser cache controls and browser storage management. |
| Tool workspace memory | Allows a tool to process the current input. | Input, selected local-file data, options and results while the page is active. | Not intentionally stored as an account history. Browser restoration and device behavior may retain information outside the application. |
The current application does not place pasted content or selected-file contents into the favorites or theme storage entries. Saving an invoice draft or another generated file downloads a file to your device; it is not a website cookie.
4. Advertising, analytics and additional libraries
The current application does not integrate advertising cookies, marketing pixels, session replay or cross-site behavioral advertising. Hosting infrastructure may still generate aggregate traffic statistics and technical logs, as explained in the Privacy Policy. An absence of marketing cookies does not mean an absence of all request processing.
Selected tools load code from jsDelivr when needed. Downloading a library involves a connection and a request for that resource, including information such as an IP address and user agent. The application does not intentionally send tool content with those requests. Provider data practices are separate from the local preferences listed above.
5. How to manage your choices
- Change a favorite by selecting its star again, or change the theme using the header control.
- Use your browser site-settings controls to inspect, remove or block cookies and local storage for toolworldonline.com.
- Clear cached website files through your browser settings if you want to remove locally cached resources.
- Manage downloads, clipboard history, browser autofill and device backups separately; clearing website cookies does not necessarily remove those items.
- Private-browsing modes may limit storage persistence, but do not hide your IP address from infrastructure or lookup providers.
Removing local storage resets favorites and theme preferences. Blocking all site storage or security cookies may prevent preferences from being remembered or cause security checks to repeat. You can normally use the browser-based tools without keeping a favorites list.
6. Consent and browser signals
A preference you actively select is used to provide that preference. Any storage or access that requires consent under applicable law must be handled accordingly; simply visiting this policy is not a consent choice. If non-essential tracking or materially different storage is introduced, the relevant explanation and legally required choices must be provided before it is used.
The application does not currently change its tool behavior based on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control flags. It does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our Privacy Policy explains the present processing and how to contact us about your rights.
7. Updates and questions
We may update this inventory when features or provider settings change. The date above identifies the current version. Send questions about cookies, local storage or personal information to privacy@toolworldonline.com; for technical help clearing a preference, use support@toolworldonline.com.
